The board discussed disposition of current equipment. David said the city will likely sell the existing sweeper and return at a later date with details. The bucket truck described to the board is a smaller unit than the city's existing large bucket truck and includes a material handler to aid tasks such as banner work.
The board voted to approve the purchase and separately approved paying the invoices upon delivery. The motion to purchase and the motion to permit payment on receipt were both seconded and approved by voice vote.
The purchase is intended to replace aging equipment and expand the city's operational flexibility; the city did not specify a timeline for delivery in the meeting.
