The board unanimously accepted resignations from Delores Toole (Summer Weights) and Leighton Grover (High School Boys Golf coach for 2026–27). Bret Kendrick moved to accept the resignations; Bobbie Ehrlich seconded and the motion carried 7-0.
The board then voted on multiple contract approvals and personnel appointments. Chantry Scott moved to approve Chad Nickell as a fifth-grade classroom teacher; Paige German seconded. The motion carried with a 6-0 vote and President Lettie Nickell recorded an abstention. The board unanimously approved Shawna (Shawn) Barlow as the high school Social Studies and Government teacher and approved Emily Seger as junior high social studies/history teacher.
Val Zumudio moved to approve Soila Ochoa as yearbook sponsor; Chantry Scott seconded and the motion carried 7-0. Paige German moved to approve Jerri Ehrlich for a combined Data Entry Clerk, KIDS Program Coordinator and Food Service Clerk role; Val Zumudio seconded. That motion carried 6-0 with Bobbie Ehrlich abstaining.
The board approved several seasonal and student positions—Kynzi Fehringer and Kevin Cabrera as student summer maintenance help, Kenneth Sibal for summer maintenance, and Olivia Seger as Sophomore Class Sponsor—on a 7-0 vote after a motion from Bret Kendrick and second from Chantry Scott. The appointment of Isaac Pantoja as high school assistant football coach was tabled after a motion by Bobbie Ehrlich and second from Val Zumudio; the motion to table passed 7-0. The board approved Amanda Seyb as assistant high school cross country coach on a 6-0 vote with Rhett Seyb abstaining. Finally, the board approved Leighton Grover as Athletic Director and Andrea Jones for Summer Weights by a 7-0 vote.
