Board recommends minor Shellpoint plat amendment and name change to Artesia Park
Summary

The Planning & Zoning Board recommended that the City Commission approve a minor amendment to the Shellpoint final plat for phases 1 and 2 (case S‑3‑24). Staff (Jeff Goe) told the board the amendment includes renaming part of the development to Artesia Park and adjusting three lots near Pioneer Trail to accommodate model homes. The plat has not yet been recorded; staff said the revisions are consistent with the PUD and reduce rather than increase unit counts.
Applicant Glenn Storch told the board the name change was precautionary after a copyright concern and reiterated that the changes are consistent with the comprehensive plan and zoning. Staff noted the commission will consider the item at an upcoming meeting and recommended forwarding a favorable recommendation. The board voted to recommend approval (roll call recorded).
