Suffield WPCA reports delinquent sewer balance of $149,840 and operational upgrades completed

Treasurer Todd Mervosh reported administration bills and RCM bills: Administration (O&M) 2025/26 $100,811.53 and 2026/27 $69,535.59; RCM bills 2025/26 $444,378.54; administration fund distribution (June payroll) $77,362.95. John Murphy moved to approve the treasurer's report, Nick Shute seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.
The business administrator reported the total delinquent amount through June as $149,840.14, of which $115,204.09 is the 2025 sewer usage bill. The minutes record the June 2026 collection rate as 94.96% compared with 97.77% in June 2025. Annual sewer bills were mailed and the last day to pay noted in the packet is July 31, 2026.
Superintendent Jamie Kreller provided operational items: the WPCA recorded 42 dry tons in June (below the monthly solids allotment under the MDC agreement); operators completed an emergency repair after a force main failure inside the wet well at pump station 18 (Wisteria Lane); new variable-frequency drives at pump station 1 (Thompsonville Road) were completed; and new transfer switches were installed at pump stations 4 (Deep Brook Harbor), 8 (Plantation Drive), and 9 (Conservation Drive). Kreller also attended an EPA Region 1 FY26 Community Grants presentation.
