The Mount Angel City Council on Oct. 3 held a required public hearing and approved Supplemental Budget No. 1 for fiscal year 2022-23. City staff explained the hearing was required because the supplemental budget had previously been passed without the statutorily required hearing; no members of the public spoke during the hearing.
A councilor moved and seconded a resolution authorizing the appropriations that amend the FY 2022-23 budget; the council voted in favor of the resolution on the motion presented.
Separately, the council considered the Youth Advisory Council application and packet for Liana Torres Vasquez. A councilor moved and seconded her appointment to a one-year term expiring June 1, 2023; the council voted to appoint her.
The council recorded voice votes of "Aye" for both actions; multiple members were present and at least one member was noted absent during roll calls.
