Molalla approves street vacation ordinance readings and authorizes recycling IGA with Clackamas County

On a separate item, City Manager Dan Huff described a resolution authorizing an intergovernmental agreement with Clackamas County to formalize recycling and plastic pollution coordination previously handled under a letter of understanding. Huff said Clackamas County has performed most of the operational work and that the IGA updates reflect recent regulatory changes; council voted 5-0 to approve resolution 2026-12 authorizing the city manager to execute the IGA and accept producer-responsibility organization funding reimbursements.
What happens next: staff will proceed with the administrative steps for the street vacation and execute the intergovernmental agreement with Clackamas County as authorized by the resolution.
