The Meadowtown Town Board opened its regular meeting, approved three sets of minutes (including the WUI ordinance minutes and fiscal year 2027 budget minutes) and accepted the accounting report.
Clerk Monica read a detailed list of receipts and bills, including a $41,500 donation for community celebrations, cemetery-mapping expenses and treatment costs, landfill fees of $6,807, and a fiscal-year insurance payment of $11,805. She told the board some bills (UAMS, Enbridge) were still outstanding. After the accounting report, a member moved to approve the bills โ including items not yet received โ and the board approved the motion by voice vote.
Department representatives provided brief operational updates: the water department reported ordinary well and spring activity, the electric crew confirmed a flag was available and that crews planned roughly 10 pole placements by the end of the month or in August, and the road department said it was waiting on the state to pave two cuts within town. The chair announced that Brandon's crew would place personnel on the pole work and confirmed the electrical fund paid the pole-related work cited earlier.
The board took a final motion to adjourn and ended the meeting.
