Silver Creek Township awards $206,831 Baker Avenue contract, hires maintenance worker and law firm

The Silver Creek Township Board of Supervisors on March 3 voted to award the Baker Avenue construction contract to Kurilla Contracting for $206,831 and approved staffing and legal steps to move the project forward.

The approval came during new business after a motion from Supervisor Nelson, seconded by Vice Chair Geyen; the contract award vote was recorded as 3-0-1. The board also voted 4-0 to extend a job offer to "Candidate 4" for a maintenance-worker position at $35 per hour with a six-month probationary period and to offer the same terms to "Candidate 3" if Candidate 4 declines.
