Councilors discussed potential impacts on township fire contracts, noting that Pleasant Township operates on a long-term automatic renewal. The council also discussed the need for broader discussions of EMS districts and centralized dispatch and said staff has been exploring shared financial-statement services (Baker Tilly) with neighboring municipalities as they prepare for state-level changes and township reform.
