Council approves minutes, bills, and hears routine department reports

Councilwoman Ashley Gearhart moved to accept the Dec. 16, 2024 minutes as presented; Councilman Peter Marquardt seconded and the motion carried 3-0. The council later approved bills totaling $318.65 on a 3-0 vote, with Gearhart moving and Susan Mulryan seconding.
Maintenance Manager Ryan Taylor provided a written maintenance report and said detailed work had been done on the city grader. Taylor also reported a Metron water meter installation was completed by Dec. 20. City Clerk Ken Bergeron supplied written financials, reported on progress converting Jayhawk and Metron software systems, described staff training with a Metron representative and said flyers would be mailed with bills to guide customers about signing onto the new meters.
