City approves staffing moves, equipment and facility work including HVAC and asbestos removal

The Killdeer City Commission on April 20 approved multiple personnel actions and facility work, including pay step increases, part-time hiring at the Aquatics & Wellness Center, and contracts for HVAC equipment, asbestos abatement and demolition.
The Commission approved step schedule bumps for Parks & Recreation Director Ryan Schleppenbach (Step 5 to 6), Community Development Director Teresa Presser (Step 7 to 8) and Chantel Swigart (Step 7 to 8). Commissioners also approved hiring Wyatt Ragan and Alyssa Wolgast as part-time staff at the Aquatics & Wellness Center and granted an FMLA request for employee Josh Asay.
For facilities, the Commission approved Western Edge Heating and Air’s $34,180 equipment quote for mini-split air conditioners at the property leased for Oil Patch Kids Daycare and a $5,923.00 2K Electric electrical quote to install them. Total Control Inc’s $5,500 asbestos-removal quote for city-owned property at 525 5th Ave NW was approved, and the Commission awarded demolition and removal of structures at the same address to Coyote Creek Fencing for $13,125.00.
The Commission also approved a bundled set of quotes for a washer and dryer and associated work at the Killdeer Aquatics & Wellness Center, presented with an estimated total of $6,653.00.
Each personnel or procurement motion passed on a roll call vote. The items will be scheduled and coordinated by the relevant city departments.
