Roanoke Rapids council swears in Edward Andrew “Andy” Jackson

The council recognized retired officers Jeff Hinton and Andy Bryant for attending the installation. The mayor invited Jackson to take his seat after the ceremony. No contested objections or motions were recorded during the swearing-in itself.
The installation occurred amid a regular meeting that proceeded to routine business including appointments, budget and ordinance votes. The council adjourned at the completion of those items.
