The Denison City Council on July 7 approved its consent agenda and several routine payments and licenses, including Wellness Center Pay Application #20 and a personnel promotion.
On a motion by Councilmember Zupp-Smith, seconded by Councilmember Crawford, the council approved the consent agenda, which included approving and waiving the reading of minutes for the June 16 meeting; approving presented bills; Wellness Center financials for May 2026; liquor licenses for Crawford County Fairgrounds, Just One More and The Old Fashioned (temporary outdoor service); a tobacco permit for The Pub; special-event permits for the Back Alley Bash (with application fees waived); solid waste hauler licenses for R & S Waste and Carroll Refuse Service (SGS LLC); and the promotion of Corinna Rayevich to Communications Operator at $25.13 per hour effective July 1, 2026.
Separately, the council approved Pay Application #20 from Jensen Builders for the Crawford County Wellness Center in the amount of $9,377.12 on a motion by Peterson seconded by Zupp-Smith; that motion carried unanimously.
These routine approvals move forward ongoing operations and projects but do not signal substantive policy changes.
