The Henderson Board of Commissioners voted April 28 to approve Municipal Order No. 40‑26, authorizing an offer to purchase 1944 North Elm Street (PVA 55D‑18) for the relocation of a gas regulator station. The motion was made by Commissioner Robert N. Pruitt, Sr. and seconded by Commissioner Nicholas E. Whitt; the roll‑call vote was unanimous.
The commission had entered executive session earlier in the meeting under KRS 61.810(1)(b) to deliberate sale and/or acquisition of real property in the vicinity of North Elm Street and other nearby parcels. After reconvening in open session, the board approved the purchase and authorized Mayor Bradley S. Staton to execute all necessary documents on the city's behalf. The meeting record indicates the municipal order was adopted and ordered recorded with the mayor’s signature.
