Willard council delays vote on Perry boundary change, asks for wider survey and exclusion of parcel

Multiple council members asked staff to provide a wider survey map that shows current Willard boundaries across the tracks and to supply a version of the proposed plat excluding a particular parcel (referred to in the meeting as Fred Barker’s property) so the council can visualize how the change affects the city as a whole. One council member said he could not "get past" giving up an asset without seeing the broader picture.
Rob moved to table the ordinance until staff presents the wider survey and a plat with the contested parcel removed; Jake seconded the motion and the council voted to table. No final approval was taken.
