Trevor Robbins, the arborist hired for the Ledger Creek planting project, briefed the council on site work and plant selection. Because of site constraints, Robbins proposed installing larger groupings of trees rather than multiple five‑to‑six tree 'oasis' pockets. He said the tree list draws from Forest Service/USU and master gardener guidance, and that trees will be sourced from Westwood Growers in Pocatello. Robbins emphasized the need for community involvement for long‑term care and said he will make soil amendments at planting to address nutrient deficiencies.
Council members praised Robbins' community engagement plan and asked for a tree list; Robbins said he would distribute the list to council and staff and would be available for planting events, including a planned grand opening.
