Council clears way to move Ribfest authorization to full Council; staff says planning is on schedule

On June 15 Canal Winchester Council voted to move RES-26-027, which authorizes Destination: Canal Winchester to operate the Canal Winchester Blues and Ribfest on city streets and property, to full Council.
City Administrator Matt Peoples said the only change from the prior year’s authorization is the event dates and that planning and layout work is proceeding smoothly. On a motion by David Payne, seconded by Alec McLaughlin, the council voted 6–0 to move the resolution to the full Council agenda for final approval. No further debate or conditions were recorded at the work session.
