Select Board approves bids, permits and a slate of committee appointments

Procurement and permits - The board moved and approved a base-and-sand bid for highway use (motion put on the floor and seconded during discussion). The total bid amount discussed during the meeting was approximately $48,500 for product and delivery combined; the board approved the award. - The board approved excess‑weight permits for identified haulers, noting seasonal posting and staff oversight. Residents raised concerns about heavy trucks, road rutting and speeding; staff advised reporting violations to the highway foreman for enforcement.
