At its April 20 meeting, the Hampstead Recreation Commission conditionally approved a permit request for the over-40 men’s Hampstead soccer team to use Depot Park Field 3.
The record shows the team has a 23-player roster and expects to host 4–5 home games, with games scheduled for Sundays at 9 a.m., plus possible playoff dates in June. The commission said it would finalize the permit after receiving a required use form and the team’s game schedule.
Angie Ingraham, recreation director, said the permit “will be accepted as soon as Angie receives that information,” and confirmed the team would be assigned Field 3. A separate Babe Ruth baseball permit was also discussed; commissioners said that application lacked a game schedule and would be approved once that schedule is submitted.
Commissioners noted the timing of permits matters for field scheduling and potential conflicts with practices and other league play. The board did not vote to deny any application; both the soccer and Babe Ruth permits are pending submission of the missing paperwork.
The commission’s next steps are administrative: staff will wait for the emailed forms and finalize permits when complete.
