The council then adopted the ordinance by unanimous vote; the ordinance will take effect 30 days after the meeting.
The council then opened and closed a public hearing on Budget Amendment Resolution 2025‑02 after City Clerk/Treasurer Rosemary Perna explained the amendment is intended to allow payment of unanticipated expenses. The council adopted the resolution by a unanimous vote.
Perna also presented the purchasing and surplus‑property policy updated to add cooperative purchasing at Councilmember Mike Taylor's request; Taylor moved to adopt the policy and the motion carried 4–0.
