Boulder council schedules public hearing on proposed marijuana dispensary at 100 West Centennial

The Boulder City Council voted Feb. 18 to defer a decision on granting a business license to Grommitt, LLC for a proposed marijuana dispensary at 100 West Centennial and to hold a public hearing at the next regularly scheduled meeting to gather public input.
Council President Drew Dawson moved to schedule the hearing; Patricia Lewis seconded and the motion carried with three aye votes. Dawson said he personally had no qualms about dispensaries but that the council should hear from residents because the decision involves public health and safety considerations. The minutes record that Grommitt, LLC will be invited to the public hearing.
The council did not make a final licensing determination at the Feb. 18 meeting; the public hearing is set for the next regularly scheduled council meeting on March 18, 2025, at 6:30 p.m.
