Boulder approves renewal of Jefferson County law-enforcement contract after patrol-time questions

Councilmember Tim Graff responded that the sheriff's office has been logging patrol time and is spending substantial effort patrolling Boulder. Mayor Russell Giulio commended the sheriff's office for their work. By motion (Drew Dawson moved; Tim Graff seconded), the council approved the contract continuation with four aye votes.
Council discussion did not amend or add a specific patrol‑time metric to the contract at the meeting; public safety oversight and patrol logging were noted as the means the city currently uses to account for patrol activity. The council invited community members to the neighborhood watch meeting, where deputies will answer questions about patrol coverage and police services.
