Indian Hill board swears in members and elects officers for 2026

The Indian Hill Exempted Village School District board opened its first meeting of 2026 with a swearing-in ceremony for trustees, followed by organizational business that included elections for the board’s leadership.
At the start of the meeting board members recited the oath to "support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of Ohio" and pledged to "faithfully and impartially perform the duties" of their offices. The board then moved to adopt the organizational meeting agenda, which passed by voice vote.
Nominations for board president were taken without the need for seconds, and Barrett Tullis was named president for the 2026 calendar year after a roll-call affirmation. Rob Warfield was nominated and affirmed as vice president. The president announced committee appointments for the year: Instruction & Technology (chair: Rob Warfield; member: Nikki Singh), Operations (chair: Nolan Marx; member: Tim Schweickart), Personnel & Professional Relations (chair: Nikki Singh; member: Tim Schweickart), and Finance & Audit (chair: Barrett Tullis; member: Nolan Marx). Warfield will also serve as legislative liaison and Singh will continue a role with the Indian Hill Foundation.
Board leadership took a short recess to photograph the newly sworn members and then reconvened the regular meeting. The organizational items concluded with the board approving the consent agenda and adjourning the organizational portion of the session.
The board will hold additional work sessions in the coming weeks and months to set priorities for the year and to plan public involvement in the superintendent search process.
