Amber Rehberg, Area 4 Extension Director, said 4‑H Educator Anne Williams had resigned and would remain through September to support transition. Rehberg requested permission to fill the vacant 0.5 FTE 4‑H Educator position via a direct‑hire process (temporary appointment not to exceed two years) to expedite hiring and maintain program continuity; no additional county funding was required. The committee moved (Jensen/Newman) and approved the direct hire. Chair Jensen volunteered to participate on the interviewing committee with Tracy Hartman named as a potential substitute.
