At its July 20 meeting the East Aurora School District 131 board approved a slate of routine and committee-recommended actions and later moved into executive session on pending litigation.
Actions approved by roll call included the consent agenda (all items as listed), miscellaneous wage adjustments for 2026–27 and a revised job description and salary range for a director of communications. The finance committee reported the district’s new commercial insurance program through the Joint Click Cooperative is expected to save about $500,000 annually and that BENTEC benefits administration implementation is on schedule for completion in time for November open enrollment.
On facilities and procurement the board approved a motion to purchase a used skid steer — via auction or dealer — for an amount not to exceed $40,000 and approved a resolution to dispose of personal property (server racks) through recycling, sale or donation channels. The building & grounds chair reported several summer projects are ahead of schedule and described quotes for furniture replacement at East Aurora High School tied to the HVAC/remodel work.
The board subsequently moved into an executive session to discuss pending litigation; the board stated no action would be taken following executive session and later reconvened and adjourned.
Votes and procedural notes: motions were made and seconded on the record; roll call votes were recorded for each approval. The transcript does not consistently identify individual motion makers or seconders by name in every instance; the meeting record shows affirmative roll call outcomes for the listed motions.
