Moore Haven council approves tentative 2025–26 budget and sets tentative millage at 4.6725

City Manager Larry Tibbs told the council the state-determined rollback rate is 4.4932 and indicated the city would set a tentative millage of 4.6725. "The roll back rate as determined by the State is 4.4932. We indicated that we would set a millage rate of 4.6725," Tibbs said. Councilmember Alisha Beck moved to approve the tentative millage; RaShonda Croskey seconded and the motion carried, recorded as 3-1.
The council also voted to authorize advertising a notice of proposed tax increase in the newspaper. Tibbs said the advertisement was included in the meeting packet; Beck moved the measure, Croskey seconded and the motion carried 4-0. Separately, Croskey moved to approve the tentative 2025–2026 budget; Beck seconded and the motion carried (the transcript records "Motion carried" but does not list a tally for this item).
No members of the public spoke during the citizens' comment period. Alisha Beck moved to adjourn; RaShonda Croskey seconded and the council adjourned at 5:06 p.m.
