North Bay Village's Financial Advisory Board held a brief online session in which members swore in Sandra Horowitz and voted unanimously to defer the remainder of the agenda to April.
Horowitz repeated the oath administered by a village staff member identified in the transcript as Isabelle, declaring, "Do hereby solemnly swear ... that I will support and obey the Constitution of the United States and the state of Florida," and affirmed she would observe the village charter and ordinances as a Financial Advisory Board member. Participants welcomed her "back to another term," and she was then nominated and seconded to serve as the meeting's acting chair.
The board then considered whether to proceed with agenda business or postpone until the chair and vice chair could participate. Sandra Horowitz moved to defer the meeting to April, saying there were "a lot of important topics that the chair and vice chair should be hearing at the same time as us." The motion was seconded and, after a brief roll call in which attendees responded present, the transcript records a unanimous vote in favor to defer.
Mehdi, who identified himself in the transcript as the village's chief financial officer, told participants staff would "move everything in this agenda to April" and asked that any additional items for that meeting be submitted so they could be combined with the updated agenda packet. He said project updates that had been circulated would be kept current ahead of the next meeting.
With no additional substantive business, Horowitz moved to adjourn; participants closed the session and the recording was stopped. The board will reconvene in April to address the carried-over agenda items.
