Commission approves routine finance items, GetReady broadband reimbursements and Mon Power easement

Consent and finance items: the commission approved the March 24 and March 26 meeting minutes, accepted five estates for final settlement presented by the fiduciary supervisor, and approved exonerations and tax consolidations. Staff presented transfers from savings to checking totaling $12,026.02 to cover field maintenance and engineering invoices; the transfers and invoices were approved by voice vote. Several budget revisions were approved, including a $910 increase to law enforcement overtime, a $75,898.06 increase in planning contributions funded by West Virginia DEP for demolition projects, a $602 increase to cover deputy sheriff uniform fees, and a $400 shift from contingencies into local health contributions.
Broadband payments: the commission approved the release of the remaining 75% payments to vendors for the GetReady broadband project after staff confirmed receipt of state reimbursements associated with prior resolutions. Staff summarized amounts received tied to resolution identifiers; the motions authorized the county to disburse the pass-through funds to vendors.
Easement approved for Mon Power: the commission considered a request from Mon Power (FirstEnergy) for an easement across county-owned property on Harper Road (map 37 partial 2). Staff reviewed the map and advised the easement would not interfere with planned development. The commission approved a 30-foot easement (15 feet each side of center) as recorded and referenced the mapping volume and page cited in the motion.
