The Le Mars City Council on July 21 adopted a resolution approving plans, specifications, the form of contract and the estimate of cost for the Business Highway 75 South patching project.
At the July 7 meeting council set the hearing date. The mayor opened the hearing and asked for public comment; none was offered. Administration recommended the council approve the project. A council member moved to adopt Resolution 204 on the plans, specifications, form of contract and estimate of cost and the motion was seconded and carried on roll call.
Key dates provided in the meeting record: bid opening for the project is scheduled for Aug. 13, 2026, at 10 a.m.; award is scheduled for Aug. 18, 2026; and a late start date for the work is set for Sept. 21, 2026.
The resolution adopted authorizes the project to proceed to bidding and award under the standard contract procedures the city uses for street projects.
