Superintendent announces Laurel School District referendum for Feb. 9

The district superintendent announced that Laurel School District will go out for a referendum on Feb. 9 and that informational "referendum reels" will be posted on the district website and the district YouTube channel in the coming week. The superintendent said they have begun visiting civic organizations and community groups to discuss the measure. "We are going out for referendum on February 9," the superintendent said. The superintendent also gave "a huge shout out to Donald Ward" for support of district education efforts. The board did not take action on the referendum language at the meeting; the superintendent described outreach plans and set expectations that more materials would be available online before the next meeting.
