State Board endorses candidates for NCARB board seats, grants president discretion on alternates

The Mississippi State Board of Architecture voted unanimously June 23 to back specific candidates in the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) elections and to give the Board president discretion to select alternates if those candidates withdraw.
Charles Barlow Jr., a Board member, moved to instruct the Board's NCARB delegates to vote for Olivia Davis for Public Director and for Marjorie Brown and Emmanuel Moreno for At-Large Director positions; Larry Bishop seconded the motion. The motion included a provision allowing the Board president to vote for alternate candidates Bobbi Jo Duneman and/or Mark McKechnie if either Brown or Moreno withdrew from consideration. The Board approved the motion unanimously.
