The Pascagoula Redevelopment Authority voted March 16 to enter a closed session to determine whether an executive session was needed; the Board then moved into executive session to discuss expansion of business or industry related to the Ice House Development and Hotel Whiskey.
Alice Walker made the motion to go into closed session; Mitch McCauley seconded. The Board announced it would discuss the Ice House Development and Hotel Whiskey in executive session because discussing those items in open session could be detrimental to the PRA’s interests. After private discussion, Chairman Alan Sudduth made a motion to come out of executive session; the motion carried and Sudduth announced that no formal action was taken while in executive session.
The executive session therefore produced no votes or public decisions; the Board set its next regular meeting for April 20, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce and then adjourned.
