He proposed a seated, multi-course long-table dinner with a rain date of Sept. 13 and estimated a primary seated capacity of about 100–150 guests, with additional lower-cost cocktail or $25 general-admission options.
The organizer laid out key operational details, including an afternoon setup window and a guest experience roughly from 5 to 9 p.m., with street clearing and teardown by about 11 p.m. At the meeting staff read the motion condition that the permit approval be subject to "final sign-off with all required town departments" and a follow-up at the Select Board's Aug. 4 meeting.
Board members questioned logistics including crowd size, parking overflow and how businesses on Front Street would remain accessible during the event. Several members referenced similar events in Newburyport and Haverhill and urged Cusco to consult directly with affected businesses.
