In presenting the resolution, County Administrator Shawn Utt said he had spoken with Mount Rogers National Recreation Area Ranger Ed Wright, who will brief the Board at a forthcoming meeting.
The motion to approve the resolution was made by Rye Valley District Supervisor Jason Parris and seconded by Park District Supervisor Kris Ratliff; the resolution passed by unanimous vote of those present. The Board instructed that a copy be transmitted to the U.S. Forest Service and other stakeholders.
