The Pascagoula Redevelopment Authority voted March 16 to approve a $3,990 quote from Fletcher Construction Co., Inc. to refurbish an existing pump at the Old Ice House site. Henry Fox moved to approve the quote and Alice Walker seconded; the motion carried unanimously.
David Brown, of Fairbanks Morse Defense, informed the Board that his company would cover the cost to refurbish the Fairbanks Morse piece of equipment and would pay the mobilization fee for the pump. The Board’s approval authorizes Fletcher Construction to proceed with the refurbishment under the quoted amount.
James Douglass of Neel‑Schaffer provided the Board with the monthly project update and timeline that covered ongoing redevelopment work in the district. Board members did not identify additional funding sources at the meeting; the refurbishment will proceed under the terms of the approved quote.
