During routine updates, the Business and Economic Development Committee received a briefing on the origin and holdings of the city's economic development fund.
"We found the original council action that created the economic development fund," Anne Creek, the community economic director, told the committee and said that background material was included in the meeting packet.
A committee member asked for a list of properties assigned to the fund. Creek said, "It's mostly just offhand, the properties that you own, like on Main Ave and Odlin, you know, the business park," and added that the full list will appear as part of the budget process or can be provided in the next packet.
Chair Councilor Leonard and others asked that staff include that list in upcoming budget materials so the committee can review exact property assignments and any implications for future economic-development decisions. Staff referenced a document bearing a signature line ("Ed Barrett" appears in the packet) and agreed to provide the requested details at the next meeting or as part of the budget materials.
The committee then proceeded to other items and adjourned at 5:41 p.m.
