Administrator Sarah Lapin presented temporary-permit applications and the Board approved permits conditional on payment and passing inspection for Boston Ice Cream (TF26-55) for June 13, 2026; Jennifer Lee’s Bakery (TF26-45) for Dudley Fest on June 13; Masala Bay Indian Kitchen (TF26-48) for a private event on June 6; Simmer ’n Spice LLC (TF26-51) for the Library Concert Series on July 8; and Salty Mamina (TF26-52) for Farmapalooza on June 7. All motions passed 5-0.
For C&C Ice Cream — an ice cream truck serving only prepackaged, individually sealed products — the Board approved permits #TF26-49 and #TF26-50 for the Sherborn Library Kickoff (June 18) and a Council on Aging event (Aug. 24), with a reduced fee of $25 per permit (a 50% reduction from the standard $50). The Board said one inspection would cover both events and that the town-hosted nature of the events and lack of profit motive justified the reduction.
The Board noted the draft fee-waiver policy is under review and that decisions on fee reductions may be informed by future policy changes. All temporary permits approved were conditional upon receipt of fee payment and a passing inspection.
