Sherborn — At its June 3 meeting the Sherborn Board of Health voted to continue a co-chair leadership model, elected its co-chairs and vice chair, and approved several staff and inspector appointments.
The Board unanimously approved a motion to retain two co-chairs and a vice chair to distribute administrative workload. The Board then voted to appoint Daryl Beardsley and Julie Dreyfus as Co-Chairs; both appointments passed 5-0. Steven (Steve) Constantine was appointed Vice Chair with a 4-0-1 vote; Dr. Rebecca Hunnewell abstained from that vote.
Members discussed transparency for administrative decisions made outside of meetings; Dr. Hunnewell asked that brief summaries of off-meeting administrative work be shared regularly. Ms. Dreyfus said formal decisions will continue to come before the full Board.
The Board also approved a group motion appointing Kimberly Morrow as Animal Inspector; Jean Greco as Board of Health Administrative Assistant; Sarah Lapin as Board of Health Administrator and Burial Agent; Thomas Curran as Food, Camp, and Tobacco Inspector; and Mark Oram as Health Agent. The group motion passed 5-0.
The Board noted the Groundwater Protection volunteer appointment is indefinite and does not require a vote.
The Board’s leadership and appointment votes were procedural and take effect immediately. Members were asked to confirm availability for upcoming meetings to ensure quorum for scheduled variances and hearings.
