Women of Courage Mission marks 13th Bronx awards ceremony, raises funds for local churches

The Women of Courage Mission held its 13th annual awards ceremony in the Bronx, honoring local residents for community service and raising funds to support church-based outreach, participants said.

The presenter who organized the event said the awards exist to "give women and men award for doing such a great work in their community," and noted the gathering marked the program's 13th anniversary. The organizer told attendees the mission aims each year to spotlight people "who are the change that they wish to see" across the Bronx.
