County clears use of courthouse square for May 2 art crawl

"We wanna do an art crawl, May the 2nd," Gaines said, asking permission to use space around the courthouse for booths and displays.
Why it matters: the event is a public-facing community activity that will use county property and requires coordination for placement and permitting. The committee approved the request after a motion by Ms. Watkins and a second by Ms. Hallmark; Chair (S1) announced the motion approved by voice vote.
Logistics and follow-up: the Chair and staff asked organizers to provide a rendering or proposal showing benches, vendor placement and any changes to permanent fixtures before final installation of benches or other street furniture is approved. Linda Gaines and organizers were thanked and the committee closed discussion and approved the request.
