House receives referrals and agency reports, schedules Rules Committee meeting and adjourns until July 23

Those read into the record included a report described as provided under Pennsylvania's Right-to-Know Law (Act 29 of 2023, section 1505) from Penn State University; a report submitted pursuant to Act 53 of 2020 from the Pennsylvania Department of State covering 2022–2025; Department of Labor and Industry reports on unemployment compensation, including a reemployment fund annual report for calendar year 2025 and an annual report for the Service and Infrastructure Improvement Fund for 2026; annual reporting from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development; and a risk-based capital report from the Pennsylvania Insurance Department concerning the joint underwriting association.
Representative Dougherty (D-Philadelphia) used his allotted time to announce committee business. "The House Rules Committee will meet tomorrow, 07/23/2026 at 9AM in the Majority Caucus Room," he said, repeating the date and time for emphasis.
Following the announcements, the Chair reported receipt of a motion by Representative Dougherty that "the House now adjourn until Thursday, 07/23/2026 at 09:30AM unless sooner recalled by the Speaker." The Chair called for the question and, after a voice vote, declared "the ayes have it," and adjourned the House.
