The North Lake School District 14 board voted to enter a memorandum of agreement to participate in a Lake County Behavioral Safety Assessment Team — a multidisciplinary group including the ESD, sheriff’s office, Department of Human Services, juvenile district attorney and other local agencies.
Superintendent recommended participation, saying the MOU would not impose a financial cost but would allow staff to consult regionally on student- and family-centered safety and wraparound supports. The board moved and seconded the MOU and approved it by voice vote.
Later in the meeting the board completed second-reading and adoption of a new superintendent evaluation tool. The board then went into executive session under ORS 192.660(2)(i) to review and evaluate the superintendent. After executive session the board directed the superintendent to place the completed evaluation in the superintendent’s personnel file and listed contract renewal and salary as future agenda items.
