City reports pool activity and community programming; senior transportation stats shared

Finance Director Jackson told Council the city has seen significant interest in pool memberships and verification but that on-site attendance at the pool has been light so far. He said there were a couple of behavioral incidents during the members-only period that were not reported promptly; staff have since been instructed to report incidents immediately.
Council member David Payne relayed senior transportation statistics: 332 one-way trips in May, 290 of which were for residents within Canal Winchester, totaling 2,887 miles driven. Council members also highlighted upcoming community events: a Farmer’s Market, Music in the Park on June 19, a Culver’s ribbon cutting June 20, and the Blues & Ribfest July 24–25.
A resident emailed praise for pool safety, which Amick read in part to the Council; staff said they appreciated the feedback.
