Residents press county on ADA outreach and ambulance service records

Tim Clark, director of the Accessibility Coalition of Tippecanoe County, reported that a recent meeting with community health groups resulted in 25 businesses volunteering to help the county pursue countywide ADA compliance.
Resident Justin Kendall said he had difficulty obtaining records about Tippecanoe Emergency Ambulance Service, Inc. (TEAS) from the county. Kendall cited Indiana Code 23‑17‑27‑2, which authorizes corporate members to inspect and copy certain records, and urged the county to create a public webpage with TEAS information to improve transparency and reduce staff time responding to records inquiries.
Vice President Thomas P. Murtaugh closed public comment after no further speakers came forward. The remarks were made as public comment; the board did not take formal action on the requests at the July 6 meeting.
