Jackson council approves rezoning and wine-tasting license; proposed Wine Down Wednesdays permit receives no motion

After council members expressed concerns about precedent, vendor competition with local restaurants and the number of event dates, Mayor Duffey called for a motion when the item returned as new business; no member moved to approve the permit and the motion died.
The council authorized Mayor Duffey to execute related documents for the approved rezoning and license; staff did not provide a corrected address for the rezoning item during the meeting.
