Soda Springs council reviews proposed utility rate increases; final adoption set for Sept. 19

City staff presented proposed rate resolutions for municipal utilities on July 1, including a 3.5% increase for water, a 1% increase for power, a 4.75% increase for sewer and a 3.5% increase for garbage service. The capital improvement fund component was not raised, and the only fee schedule change discussed was an increase in airport lease rates.
Council discussion reviewed the proposed percentages and directed that formal adoption occur at the council meeting scheduled for Sept. 19, 2026. Clerk Andrea Haderlie provided the adoption date. No formal vote on final adoption occurred at the July 1 meeting.
