Tracy Schaner, deputy chief administrator for the Idaho Division of Veterans Affairs, told the committee S 1037 revises existing law to clarify succession to property for deceased residents of veterans homes who have no next of kin. Schaner said the bill corrects an Idaho Code reference and removes obsolete language.
Senator Harris moved to send S 1037 to the floor with a do pass recommendation; Senator Adams seconded the motion, which carried by voice vote. The committee minutes do not record a roll-call tally.
