Representatives of the CEDAR Regional Marketing Initiative on Nov. 12 asked the Proctor Selectboard to continue the town’s annual contribution of $1,640 to the regional marketing program.
Lyle Jepsen and Olivia Bucksbaum presented an overview packet about the program, now entering its ninth year, describing Real Rutland’s role as a regional welcome/wrangling effort to attract workers and families to the Rutland region. The presenters asked Proctor to provide the same funding amount as prior years.
Selectboard members requested data points specific to Proctor before making a funding decision. The minutes record that the board asked the presenters to supply Proctor-targeted information to help evaluate the request.
No formal vote or contract was recorded at the meeting; the funding request was placed on the board’s radar for a future decision after receipt of requested data.
