At 7:23 p.m. the Selectboard adjourned its meeting and convened the Board of Water Commissioners; the water board reviewed a handout of delinquent accounts and described DPW efforts to locate shut-off points for those properties. The water board adjourned at 7:28 p.m. and the Board of Sewer Commissioners then met and reported that DPW has been flushing hydrants.
After the commission meetings the Selectboard resumed. The sheriff's report, provided in the meeting packet, recorded 4 tickets issued, 8 warnings, 0 arrests and $1,040.00 in fines. Town Manager Judy Frazier highlighted several departmental items: mosquito spraying on Aug. 30, meeting with VLCT Risk Manager Wade Masure regarding the fire station (the town is waiting on an engineer's report), a drive-through with the PW foreman and contractor Wilk to examine a paving project, participation in an active-shooter webinar, planning commission activity, initial work on the FY26 budget and annual report, a timber-harvest update, attendance at a CREAP meeting, and a posted ad for a DPW position.
No formal board actions beyond convening/adjournment motions and the informational reports were recorded in the minutes.
