The Proctor Selectboard met Aug. 26 in the Town Office Meeting Room with Zoom access, approved the meeting agenda and the Aug. 12 minutes and reviewed routine financial and operational business.
The board reviewed and signed Selectboard orders totaling $166,563.12 for town obligations. Albert Wenta moved to approve the agenda; Linda Doty seconded and the motion was unanimously approved. Bruce Baccei moved to approve the Aug. 12 minutes; Albert Wenta seconded and the motion was unanimously approved.
Selectboard members were given draft and policy documents for future review: members were asked to send recommended changes on a proposed Ground Maintenance Ordinance and the Facilities Use Policy to Town Manager Judy Frazier. The Planning Commission was assigned to update the town’s Zoning Regulations; the Selectboard received a copy of the existing regulations and a joint meeting with the Planning Commission will be scheduled to consider updates.
Albert Wenta moved and Bruce Baccei seconded a motion to accept Errors & Omissions corrections to the 2024 Grand List for five properties; the board recorded unanimous approval and noted no change in assessed value for the properties.
Town Manager Judy Frazier summarized departmental items, including completion of a South Street sidewalk (follow‑up on two possible easements), event reminders and public‑works maintenance. The sheriff’s report in the meeting packet listed one ticket and one warning, zero arrests and fines totaling $162.
At 6:55 p.m. the board voted to enter executive session under Title 1, Section 313(a)(1)(A) of the Vermont Statutes to discuss contracts for seasonal and part‑time town employees; Bruce Baccei moved, Albert Wenta seconded. The board left executive session by consensus around 7:40 p.m. and took no action. The regular meeting adjourned at 7:41 p.m. on a motion by Linda Doty, seconded by Albert Wenta.
